The South End is part of Boston's Resident parking permit program. If you live in the south end, you can get a resident parking permit and can park your car on the street in resident spots. However, there are far more permits/cars then there are spaces. Private spaces, or not owning a car are also viable South End options. (Zipcar has several locations in the South End, and we have many Hubway mike sharing stations)
