Boston maintains a regular Street Sweeping program, which helps keep our neighborhood clean. If you've ever seen the streets at the end of winter without street sweeping, it's a bit of a mess.

Street sweeping takes place March 1 through December 31, weather permitting. (in the future street sweeping may be year-round)

In general, streets in Eight Streets are swept

• Odd sides on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays
• Even sides on the 2nd and 4th Thursday
• Shawmut is every Friday
• Tremont is every Thursday.
