Berkeley Gardens Renovation Update:
Christina Bechstein, Visual Artist, and Barbara Michaels, Community Facilitator, who are working on the changes to the Berkely Community Gardens gave an update on the project. The current focus is on the Berkeley St. side where a "Growing Fence" is planned. This fence will run the length of the garden (740 ft.), be predominantly wire mesh with wood posts & beams, have several panels devoted to artwork and create an arbor effect on the garden side of it. Community input is still being gathered (at the garden 9/7 & 9/14 from Noon to 3:00, or 10/15 at the garden's Harvest Fest at the BCA; visual representations are available at these sites).
