254 Shawmut Ave
– Steve Swartz, Owner
Mr. Swartz is seeking support to add a 3 (4 from rear) story full width addition to the rear of the building. The addition will take up most of the rear yard. The Bradford edge will line up with the current building, and have a recessed entrance. He would like to add an oriel on the side of the building consistent with the oriels across the street. (The streetlight would be slightly moved and the sidewalk repaired as part of the construction.) The Peters Park side would slightly recess allowing for porches on the 2nd and 3rd floors. A roofdeck would be added to this addition. He would like to change the front (Shawmut) gabled dormer with a larger gabled dormer.
After the presentation, Mr. Swartz took questions from members. He also presented several letters of support from neighbors, including the owner of adjacent 252 Shawmut Ave. After discussion membership voted to not oppose the proposal as presented. A Letter was sent to the city
